Off on the Right Foot

Fear has been a big thing for me to overcome. Some days I still struggle with it. Feeling like a child scared of the monster under the bed, expected to act like an adult who doesn’t believe in such nonsense. Except it often gets overlooked that when we grow up that’s when we realise the monsters aren’t under the bed…but that doesn’t mean they don’t exist…

And slowly I’ve come to realise that it isn’t about living without fear. It’s about LIVING, even with that fear. About not letting it stop you or control you or overcome you. It’s about acknowledging that sometimes we are scared, even as adults, and allowing ourselves to be free and live anyway.

Take a deep breath. Acknowledge your fear. And carry on with living.
