In case you didn’t already know I am a bit of a Harry Potter fan. So when I saw this Harry Potter tag on Writing The Blues Away I couldn’t resist doing it too!
1. What house are you in?
According to every sorting test/quiz/whatever I have ever taken, I am a Gryffindor. This constantly used to surprise me because I always related to Hufflepuff house the most. I never felt like a particularly brave person. But during my more recent rereads I found myself really struck by how many kinds of bravery are in these stories.so much of the bravery in Harry Potter is quiet and unexpected. And that got me thinking: maybe I am a Gryffindor after all and my kind of bravery is the quiet, unexpected kind.
2. What is your patronus?
According to Pottermore mine is a grey dappled mare. Even though this is a beautiful creature to have as a patron us it never rally felt right to me. I always thought mine would be a fox.
3. What would your boggart be?
Definitely a dementor. My experiences of anxiety, panic attacks and depression mean that an embodiment of fear and despair is without doubt my greatest fear.
4. What position would you play in Quidditch?
Honestly? I do not think I would make the quidditch team… hand eye coordination is not my forte. If it was my forte though I’d love to play seeker.
5. What job would you want to have after leaving Hogwarts?
I would either work at Hogwarts (I’d love to run the library!) or run a magical bookshop in Hogsmeade or Diagon Alley.
6. Which of the Deathly Hallows would you choose?
The Cloak of Invisibility, without a doubt. An introvert’s dream accessory!
7. Favourite book?
This is THE HARDEST QUESTION!!! I never know. It’s a toss up between Prisoner of Azkaban (I love Sirius and Lupin) or The Deathly Hallows (this was actually one of my least favourite when I first read it but the more I reread the series the more this book gives me all the feels).
8. Least favourite book?
Chamber of Secrets. I don’t even know why I like this one so much less than the others, I just don’t connect with it in the same way.
9. Favourite film?
Deathly Hallows. And I’m totally counting this as one film. I particularly love how Harry and Hermione’s friendship develops in this final instalment and think Radcliffe and Watson’s portrayal of their connection is just wonderful.
10. Least favourite film?
Chamber of Secrets. I think probably because it’s my least favourite of the books.
11. Favourite character?
Hermione. My soul sister. I love, love, love Hermione’s character and connect with her in so many ways. I love how she developed through the series and I love her for her intelligence and loyalty and compassion and bravery.
12. Least favourite/most hated character?
My least favourite/most hated is probably Filch.
13. Favourite teacher at Hogwarts?
Lupin! Or McGonagall. I love them both.
14. Least favourite teacher at Hogwarts?
Even though I love his character I’d hate him as a teacher so I’d have to go with Snape. I would be terrified to attend his classes.
Let me know if you do this tag too and I’ll take a look!
I’m so doing this.
Thanks for tagging! 😄 loved reading your answers, feel bad for poor old Chamber of Secrets which we’ve both said is our least favourite book and film!😅
Haha, I know! I’m genuinely not even sure why it’s my least favourite. 🙈 Thanks for reading and commenting.
